LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY – Morris Industries, a 21st Century industrial group with holdings in the recycling sector, is pleased to announce that Nate Morris, Chairman, will participate as a panelist and speaker at The Wharton School Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership (IGEL) Conference at the University of Pennsylvania. This year’s conference will feature a panel of business leaders who will discuss Greening of the Supply Chain: Best Business Practices and Future Trends. The conference, which will take place on April 26, will offer an interactive dialogue with panelists and conference participants on greening the supply chain and how these measures will lead to the development of new internal management tools, policy formation and new business opportunities.

“We are honored to share Rubicon Global’s practices with The Wharton School community,” said Morris.

The keynote speaker is the former Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer for Wal-Mart Global Procurement, Edwin Keh. The key objective of the IGEL Conference is to provide an in-depth, informed and current overview about sustainability and supply chain management. Morris will offer insight on the waste and recycling industry and describe how Rubicon Global is transforming the sector. Morris’ talk will focus on specific areas where waste and recycling impact the supply chain and illustrate Rubicon Global’s vision for sustainable business.

“An increasing number of companies are tapping into the vast and underdeveloped business in sustainability. This innovative view has led to a strategic way of business conversions to environmentally informed practices, investments, product development, supply-chain management and marketing,” said Eric Orts, Guardsmark Professor of Legal Studies & Business Ethics, Faculty Director, Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership (IGEL), The Wharton School University of Pennsylvania.
